Touring IHC..
Wednesday, October 06, 2004 [Family]
Today's Padmanabhaiah uncle's birthday. Called him between class and wished him. The class today got better as it went more into depth on the topics. We had lunch inside an authentic protected windmill! In the pics, you can see a typical Dutch lunch - lots of fish, bread and potatoes!
After class, we toured the IHC yard at Kinderdijk where the D'Artagnan - the world's most powerful cuttersuction dredger is being built. The scale at which things are built here is astounding! We had to make our contribution to a landmark machine like this. And Nigeria joined in!
After class came back and ran on the elliptical machine for a bit while watching Carrie Bradshaw and her friends on Sex and the City. Ordered in some spaghetti and after surfing the net for a bit, crashed!
